Blue Harbor Indoor Waterpark

Gianna, Cooper, and Brecken are fish. Over Easter weekend, we had a blast with the kids at a waterpark in Sheboygan. The three of them LOVED the water! With each passing hour, they became braver and braver.

Looks like someone has Daddy's dimples.

Gianna and Brecken played in the little geysers and roamed around with Aunt Lea. Onlookers thought Lea had twins. Hard to tell by size, but Brecken is seven months younger than Gia!

Cooper's courage rubbed off on Gia. She followed in his footsteps by flying down the big, red slide and running through the sprinkler after him.

Getting Dressed

Gianna still loves to play dress-up with her everyday clothes, and she gets pretty creative.  She's worn a scarf maybe twice in her life, and she puts in on correctly every time.  She has worn shirts every day of her life, but...

It's a tank top.

Finger Pointing

Gianna was sitting on my lap "nakey" watching cartoons.  I thought I felt a 'lil something.  "Gia, do you have to go potty?"

"Nope."  A few minutes of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse passed.  "Potty, potty!"

I walked into the bathroom with this spot of leakage on my leg, and in the most disgusted tone of voice possible, finger pointed right at it, Gia said, "Yuck-eee."

Playtime at the Park

The swings were a little scary at first today.  Having "Baby" and Daddy swinging along side of Gianna made things more enjoyable.

The slides were very exciting.  Gia even accomplished climbing up to and sliding down the little one on her own.  What a big girl (tear from Mommy).

Not So Fast

Bad News - Offer rescinded.

Good News - No apartment.

Better News - Gia & Vito still have a yard to play in!

Ryan and Rachel's Monkey

Our Monkey is growing, talking, running, and going non-stop.  I was extremely lucky this year to have a week-long spring break to spend extra time with Ryan and Gia, and I just kept thinking about all of the things I should be blogging about.  Skim if you wish, but I have lots to write since I have been slacking.

At two months shy of TWO, Gianna...
READS all of the time.  Her current favorite books are: "Strawberry," which is The Big Hungry Bear, the Little Mouse, and the Red, Ripe Strawberry, Knuffle Bunny Too, and Circus of Colors.  SINGS and DANCES.  ABC's, Twinkle Twinkle, Jay Bird (anything Elizabeth Mitchell), Choo Choo Soul, Boom Boom Pow, Apple Bottom Jeans, and the Hot Dog song from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse are among the most popular.  COLORS.  Gianna likes to color with crayons, markers, pens, pencils, dot paints, and on her Magna Doodle.  Her drawings are always one of three things, G-I-A, kitty, or doggy.  WEARS UNDIES except for at night, and she still absolutely loves dressing and undressing herself over and over again.  LOVES MICKEY AND CHARLIE.  Gia always wants to watch Mickey or do Mousekersize.  She does quite the Donald Duck impression too.  Otherwise, she wants to play with Charlie, her doll.  She pushes her in the stroller, tells her to sit, wraps her in blankies, puts her to sleep and yells at her to "Wake Up!"  TALKS non-stop.  The new ones today were: Gia buster (oops) and cuddle.  She sometimes calls me Rachel and knows that her daddy is Ryan.  Check out the video to listen to another new phrase.

Poor Vito.

Ryan and I can't get enough of her.  Vito feels the same when Gia has a snack in hand.  She has so much personality, is so well-mannered, and she might just have us wrapped around one of her tiny, little fingers.

Good Bye Onalaska, Hello Holmen

Awesome News - We accepted an offer on Thursday, and we close May 5th!

Good News - We found an apartment in Holmen that is Vito friendly.

Hopeful News - We hope to build on our lot so that Gianna has lots of room to run and play!

Conley Kids

Sunday afternoon was spent with the Conleys.  Maryn and Bennett are so good with Gia.  They asked if they could take her outside to play.  Bennett kept calling Josie over so that Gia could pet and chase her.  They played on the swing set and had Gianna bouncing on the trampoline.

Thanks for the food, fun, child care, and whoopi pies!
