Tribute To Amber

I had a grad class in La Crosse all last week. We were very lucky to have Amber come and stay with us from Sunday through Friday. Ryan and I loved the help and company, and as you can see, Gianna loved having Amber here too!

She was so excited on Sunday night that Amber was coming.

Amber had fun bopping around the house with her. They even met me for lunch one afternoon. Meeting for lunch was a little disastrous, but we made it work!

Gianna even woke up happy knowing that she would get to spend the day with Amber!

Gia and Amber had fun playing, and Amber definitely liked cuddling with her when she was sleepy.

Thanks again Am! We miss you already!

Two Months Old

So Busy!

As many of you know, I am in the middle getting my master's degree. My classes are keeping me very busy and up later than I am used to (even with a two-month old). I want to post all of our pictures from the weekend of the 25th though because Gianna has been really busy too. Sorry for the lack of captions, but enjoy viewing!

Gia got to meet two of her great-grandpas last weekend. She is so lucky!

Thanks for the fun party Britt! Congratulations!

Cliff and Clay hadn't met her yet either. She gave Clay a very warm welcome!

Here is a video from today. She loves her mobile...thanks Reids!

Uh Oh

Patti just made me aware of the fact that most of the pictures I posted yesterday don't show up. I will try to fix it tonight!

Sun Prairie

Gianna and I went to Sun Prairie on Saturday to visit Dziadzia at Merna and Al's house. We ate dinner and played on the gymini. Sunday morning, we all went for breakfast too.

Conveniently, their house is in the same development that Lea, Casey, and Cooper live in. Gianna spent time with Aunt Lea, Cooper, Uba, and Grandpa while I was in class on Monday through Wednesday in Middleton. Uncle Casey played with her when he got home from work each night.

Cooper is going to be a great big brother! Uncle Casey and Cooper are fun to play with.

Thanks for all of the help this week!

Visiting the Barfknechts

Gianna and I had a great day visiting Lisa, Reece, and Bree, and we even saw a little of Chad. Reece loved holding the little ones.

All of the talking, laughing, and playing didn't seem to bother Chad and Bree a bit!

Thanks for having us over!

Our Little Chunker

Today, Gianna is seven weeks old! She actually fits in the Bjorn now. She used to use the arm holes as breathing holes. I weighed her today for the first time since mid-June, and she is a whopping 11 pounds!

Vito and the Fawver family want to wish Grandma and Dziadzia (jah-jah) happy birthdays!

What A Day!

What an exciting day! Gianna slept from 9:30 until 5:30 last night, ate, and went back to sleep from 6:30 until 9:30. With all of that rest, she was great at her first Logger's game tonight. Then, right before bed time, she rolled over for the first time! She was kicking a little, so I grabbed the camera, and instead of hitting record, I hit the power button and missed it. I took video anyways...the first clip is right after she made it over. The second one is her back on her belly, kicking and crying.

Friday

Gianna got her picture taken next to the barrel of flowers because they are both blossoming! We grew these flowers from seed packets that Laura ordered for our baby shower to welcome baby Gia.

We spent time with Molly and Genevieve. We took a walk and went inside to play in the air conditioned house. Genevieve loves Gia; she even gives her kisses!

Oh So Busy Learning

We saw Dr. Thurman this week. He saw us throughout our pregnancy, delivered Gianna, and will now be her doctor. I think he can calm her down better than I can; he is great!
Notice her little pointer finger. She is always pointing with that one finger!

This week, Gianna started to swat at the things she focuses on. The monkey must be her favorite.

She really started to react to facial expressions in the past few days too. Here is her reaction to her daddy's.

Mommy's Little Runner...We are noticing that she is much more active in general!

The Conley House

We had a fun day at the Conley's. Gia spent a little time with everyone!

Bennett made Gianna so comfortable that she started to fall asleep. He said that if she needed a nap, she could sleep in his bed.

Gianna was trying to look at Maryn, but Maryn was busy smiling for the camera. She let Gia eat in her room.

Maryn had fun playing house with Gianna's car seat too.

Thanks for having us over Conleys!

Week Number Five

Gianna got this hand made blanket from Laura Holmes. It is super soft, and her name and birthday are embroidered on it. Not only does she like it, but Vito does too!

Today, she was napping on the couch next to me. She was scooting herself around in half circles. She started with her head on the pillow. She shifted around to the left which made me nervous because her face was too close to the back of the couch, so I put her back on the pillow. She just decided to turn in the other direction. I left her alone but watched carefully!

Gianna is wiped out. She stayed home with Grandma Lorraine on Monday and Daddy on Wednesday while I went to class, met Andrea this week, went to Daddy's softball game, visited with Laura and Maryn, and went shopping and for walks!
