May Christmas

Santa came to see Gia at Grandma's on Christmas morning!  She got to ring the bells, open a present from him, and Santa even gave her a chocolate lollipop.  We had a good morning opening presents with Grandma, Grandpa, Great-Grandpa, and Uncle Clay.  New jammies, a tooth brush, and shoes were Gianna's highlights.

Everyone at Aunt Debbie's was extremely understanding.  Gia got to open her presents before dinner so that she could make it to bed at a decent time.  Aunt Michelle and Gage gave Gianna a bassinet and stroller that she has been towing around everywhere.  Great-Grandma was sick, but she looked so pretty.  Ryan, Gia, and I were thankful to have seen so many of our family members over the holiday weekend.

Christmas Morning

Gianna understood most of the Christmas hype this year.  She left a note to Santa with a cookie and chocolate milk and carrots for the reindeer.  I think she understood that Santa came and took the treats, but the concept of Santa isn't terribly magical yet.

Gia stayed true to her love for books, sweets, blankies, and babies.  Her stocking was a hit, and the new cooing baby is a favorite.  Every piece of paper and tape had to be ripped off of the gifts, but a mess of toys and paper on the floor was perfectly acceptable.  We had a relaxing Christmas morning, and most importantly, Gianna May had fun!

Watch out Jimmy John's!

Wisnios Christmas

Christmas Eve was nice and laid back.  We opened gifts with Dziadzia in the afternoon.  Gianna loved her camping chair and her new friends, Marie and Eeyore.  I know she'll love her art supplies once we set-up her art table at the new house (a couple of months yet).  Following Dziadzia's, we went to Uncle George's house to see the rest of the family.  Aunty Gina bought this adorable halo for Gianna and a dancing doll!  I was happy to be able to see my family on the Wisnios side, and Gia loved hanging with the "big kids."

Santa and His Reindeer

The Fawver family went to see Santa and his reindeer at the Rotary Lights this year.  We had hot chocolate.  Gia called the reindeer like dogs, "Come here reindeer."  There was some peeking into Santa's house, and Gia sat on Santa's lap!  Santa Clause gave Gianna a pin for visiting him.  She told him that she wanted a lollipop for Christmas (and left a little upset that she didn't get one on the spot).  Gianna cheered up once we started admiring all of the beautiful lights.

We look forward to seeing the lights every year.  I think Santa will become a fantastic addition to our visits!

Looking Back

No wonder Gia was horribly scared of this Easter Bunny!
Uncle Clay redeemed himself this season.

Happy Friday

Gia was cheerful this morning except for when we were outside. She almost started crying because, "It's cold." I guess we'll have to move to Key West after all.
