Are We Ready?

This afternoon, I decided to ask Gia to tell me if she had to go potty. I took off her pants and her diaper and let her run around. After several rounds of:
Me- "Gia, do you have to go potty?"
Gia- "Nope."
Me- "Tell Mommy if you have to go potty."
I finally got a, "Yep." We headed off to the bathroom (her little bare butt walking in front of me), I sat her on the seat, and she sat...and then she peed! Clapping, cheering, dancing, and a marshmallow (no M&Ms in the house yet) followed. We'll see what happens. She peed on the floor later. We have a lot of work to do.

Humane Society Visit

Gianna was all about watching our neighbor’s dogs run around outside this weekend.  She wanted to go and play with them rather than watch through the window (envision her little tongue sticking out of her mouth, pointer finger jabbing at the window while “eh, eh, eh” plays in the background).  I was not about to let my feverish 18 month old outside in the damp coldness.  So, we took our first trip to the Humane Society!

Visit with Brit

This picture is from a couple of weekends ago when Gianna and I stayed with Aunt Debbie and Uncle Mike. Sophie took this cute picture for us.

Dress-Up

Genevieve and Gianna always have so much fun together. Molly is a lifesaver. She is watching Gia for us today. I wish I was there!

What A Helper

Last night, I searched the house high and low for Gia's sippy cup of milk before bed. I asked her to help find it. She kept standing in front of the dishwasher, right next to the fridge. I kept saying, "Nope, it's not in the fridge. Can you help Mama find it?" Finally, I just got a different cup. This morning, I opened the dishwasher that Gianna helped me close and start last night, and...
