Tinley Action

Sweet little Tinley will be 11 months in 9 days. She is 15 pounds, has 2 teeth coming in and still wakes up starving 1 time in the middle of the night. Tinley waves, dances, crawls after Gianna as often as she can, and is an extremely happy baby. She pulls herself up here and there, but not regularly yet. We love her to pieces!

Milestones at the Fawver's

Gianna is 4 AND A HALF. While working with her traveling Writer's Briefcase from school this weekend, we pulled out her sight word flash cards. I knew that Gia knows about 20 words, some being family names. What I was amazed by was her ability to use the beginning sound, end sound, and the does it make sense strategy to guess the sight words! She got box and dog correct.

This started as a copying the words onto paper activity, but when I got excited and tried to help her work through a couple of the bigger words (black), she said, "Mom, you don't have to stretch it out. I'm just guessing them." Regardless of the attitude, I am a pretty proud mama!

Tinley is 9 (and a half) months. I will let her show you her milestone. She has been working hard since right before Christmas but had only found success in reverse until Sunday...

A Little Beam Action

Wednesdays are very exciting at our house. Gianna has Library at school and Gymnastics at night. Here is Gia on the beam (and yes, coach Whitney has her hands full).

Bigger Piggies

Gianna chose 6 colors to decorate her toesies with. Pippi's eccentric spirit might be rubbing off already!

Candyland

Gianna, Tinley, and I played Candyland first thing this morning. The new, cheap version is nothing like the game I remember. Aunt Debbie, we need to find the VHS version!

Our game went like this: Tinley won, and I lost. She had the touch with the spinner! Gianna actually decided we were done playing right before Tinley's winning turn ;). Tinley got her turn every time (even when I suggested not bothering her) thanks to her big sister.

Lunch Time

Tinley is headed straight to the tub after my helper is done feeding her. If it was Halloween, I could put her in a blue shirt with white overalls. Gianna could carry a golden egg. Veruca and the Oompa Loompa would be pretty darn cute!
