Eight Month Update
"For being eight months old, Gia, you have quite the attitude!" That is what Tricia, Gia's daycare provider, said when I picked her up one day this week. Gianna's attitude is not new to us though. She has always known what she wanted and has been able to figure out a way to get it. Recently, while all of her daycare friends were napping, Gia wanted Tricia's attention all to herself. Every time Tricia turned her attention away, Gianna grunted at her. Don't get me wrong, she is a very happy baby, and I look forward to seeing her smiling face with her squinched up nose every minute of the day. Her spicy-ness just makes her that much cuter!
As of January 18th, Gia was 16.4 pounds. My little sweetpea is just starting to fit into nine month clothes which is great since she got so many adorable outfits for Christmas. Luckily for Ryan and I, she still loves to cuddle before going to bed, and she still fits well in our arms while we rock her. She rubs her blanky on the bridge of her nose and between her fingers while she drinks her bottle. It is so precious.
Sorry for the long post. With the holidays, I feel like I haven't posted about her progress in awhile. Now, you are updated!
More!
YEAH! Gianna is signing more. On Saturday, I noticed it for the first time, and she did it again for Ryan when he got home from work. Ryan thinks that Gia signed eat too, so we will be watching for that.

Fawver Family Christmas
This past weekend we celebrated Christmas with the Uba, Grandpa, Cooper, Brecken, Aunt Lea, Uncle Casey, Kona, and Ruby. We decided awhile back that January would be the best time to enjoy ourselves with the Zwettler’s new addition, Brecken, and moving into their new home so close to December 25th.
Patti made me this scarf/wrap and matching hat. Gia has a hat to match too. Cooper is modeling my new winter gear.
Grandpa was telling Gianna secrets.
Cooper is almost three, and he fits the role of ‘big cousin’ very well. He was holding Gia on his lap…until they fell over!
Gianna finally started teething, and wow, the tooth came fast! This frozen apple was keeping her very happy and busy. I was shocked to find a chunk of it missing though, and her happiness faded as I dug around in her mouth until I found it.
Great-Grandma and Grandpa Fawver, Aunt Lisa, and Jason, Ann, and Orion all came to visit as well. We had fun passing babies, catching up, and attempting a Fawver photoshoot.
We had a great weekend visiting with family, relaxing, and eating delicious food.
