Trick-or-Treat

Gianna told Grandma she wanted to be a unicorn this year, and Grandma made it happen.  She was an awesome trick-or-treater wishing every treat giver a "Happy Halloween" as she turned to leave.  I think it goes without saying, but she was a dang cute unicorn too!

Ryan made a fire in our driveway for us and the neighbors to hang by while dishing out candy.  The flames warmed up our hands after the trick-or-treating expedition.

People always say that I need to post more pictures of our house.  Here is the outside all lit up.

Gianna was celebrating her candy collecting success before bed.

Happy Halloween!

Pumpkin Carving

Pumpkin carving night was Monday.  We had tools, paper cut-outs, Halloween coloring projects; we were ready to go.  I was anticipating everyone would be as excited about digging in as I was....  Good thing for the coloring projects.  Gianna picked out the ghost design, traced a small bit of it onto the pumpkin, and touched one handful of guts, and that was the extent of her carving.  Ryan and I held out for the long haul and finished them all up.  I must say, they look great!

Zwettlers are a hit!

This house and the pack 'n play that Gia's baby, Reagan, is drinking her bottle in are gifts from the Zwettlers. I asked Gianna if she wanted to do a project with me. She said, "No, but you can if you want." Playing house has me beat!

Ferguson's with Family

We had a fantastic couple of weekends with family.  First, we had Uncle Jimmy, Aunt Trish, Uba, and Grandpa in town.  On Saturday, Grandpa, Ryan, and I ran the Be Fit 5K (snow flakes were flying as we finished...barely visible, but snow nonetheless).  The whole crew then headed downtown for breakfast, and after that, we drove up Granddad's Bluff to get a view of La Crosse.  On Sunday, Uba and Grandpa joined us for our first trip to Ferguson's for the year.

A couple of weekends later, we had Aunt Lea, Uncle Casey, Cooper, Brecken, and Ruby over.  For three hours on Saturday morning, Gianna chanted, "Cousins, cousins, cousins," while she eagerly awaited the arrival of the boys.  Once they got here, we cheered on the Badgers and went back to Ferguson's for some more fall fun. Before they left on Sunday, we walked around Riverside Park a bit so that Cooper and Brecken could see the Mississippi River.  We had a fun visit!

Her shirt says it all.

Thanks Aunty Gina for thinking of Gia when you saw this!

Visit with Dzia Dzia

Dzia Dzia decided to come visit for the day.  With overcast and chilly weather, we decided the Children's Museum was a warmer idea than the apple orchard.  Gianna took Dzia Dzia to all of her favorite spots including Kwik Trip, the shadow room, the rivers and streams, and the wind tunnels.

Thanks for a fun day Dzia Dzia!

Move In Day with JJ's

Every year, Ryan has a crew from Jimmy John's give out samples for UW-L's move in day.

This crew, including the cute, miniature one, handed out nearly 1,000 sub samples in just a couple of hours!

While everyone made sandwiches and filled the cups with goodies, Gianna enjoyed a Pepe (ham and cheese).
A little bit of heaven in every bite.
