What A Busy Week

Earlier this week, Patti and Dave were here visiting/working (at Jimmy John's). Patti got great pictures of Vito giving Gianna some lovin'. He was kissing her feet and face. It was really cute. We weren't able to get a picture fast enough, but he was trying to give her his ball too. He is ready to start playing with his sister!

Gianna went to the doctor this week for a check-up, had lots of visitors, and got lots of attention while she was at the doctor later in the week with me. At three weeks and one day, she weighed in at 7 lbs., 15 ozs. She was born at 6.8, and left the hospital at 6.3. She is a great eater!

Molly and Genevieve came over to visit us again this week too. Genevieve gave us some of her favorite things for when Gia gets a little older, and she played with Vito for a while.

Lisa J. met Gianna for the first time on Wednesday, and she stayed with us for the night. Gianna loves her new books and CD's from the Jarrick family. She also liked spending time with Lisa while mom got all checked out at the clinic!

Branda came to visit yesterday. We had fun chit-chatting since we haven't been able to get together lately (congrats on your marriage!). Gia was wearing her new tie-die apparel that we love from Jan. Everyone loved it!

I Am Three Weeks Old Today!

I had my very first sponge bath the day I was born.

Now that I am bigger and have a normal belly button, I take tub baths. Last night, I had my very first happy tub bath!

Uncle Clay bought this onesie for me on his school trip. He is always thinking of me!

Mommy loves this little outfit from Aunt Marlene in New Jersey.

Everyone says how strong I am because I have been lifting my head since I was a day old. Here is a short video of me having tummy time on my gymini.

Mommy and Daddy think that I am already starting to let my personality shine even though I am still so little. They are smart and know that they will have their hands full!

Friends

Gia has had a busy week meeting friends. Wednesday night, Molly, Josh, and Genevieve brought us dinner (yes, they are very sweet). I think that Genevieve enjoyed feeding Gianna and Vito with her baby doll bottle. Unfortunately, I forgot to take pictures that night.

Thursday night, she went to Ryan's softball game and met some of his teammates.

Lisa and Reese came to visit us today. Reese seems to love babies! She couldn't wait for Gia to wake up. This is great practice because, as you can see, mommy Lisa is expecting baby number two on July 3rd!

Great Grandmom May asked me the other day if I dress Gianna. That made me think that she must be concerned about my parenting, so here is some proof that I clothe her!

Welcome Baby Owen

Gianna has been sleeping like her mom the past two nights. Ryan and I are feeling great!

Welcome to the world Owen Burke! Ember and Justin had another boy yesterday morning at 10:22. Mom and baby (and dad and big brother, Elijah) are all doing well! Congrats!

Cute Little Gia

Gianna and I had our first experience with our Baby Bjorn from Aunt Sue and Uncle Al. It was great because I actually had two free arms to get things done, and Gianna stayed happy bouncing aroumd with me! I wasn't so sure of her breathing ability at first. She was very content though as you can see. Aunt Debbie, Uncle Mike, and Brittany also ordered this colorful stool that we got yesterday. We love it!

Happy Two Week Birthday Gianna!

I can hardly believe that Gianna is two weeks old already. As I notice her growing and filling out, I find myself wishing I could bottle up every little moment.
She got to do all of the things she enjoys today. Here she is listening to and watching her mini-rainforest today...she loves it!

Gianna loves to eat. Today, she spent some time relaxing with a full belly.

Going for walks is her other favorite thing to do right now. It has only been between 50 and 60 degrees and rainy, so we had to bundle up.

Gianna is showing off the booties that Donna and Jim gave her. They are great because I can tie them around her ankles, so they don't fall off!

Gianna and Vito continue to bond; although, it looks like the long nights are getting to him the most. He'll get used to the crying and only sleeping with one of us at a time sooner or later.

Photo Shoot

Last weekend, Aunt Lea, Uncle Casey, Cooper, and Uba and Grandpa Fawver were here visiting. We wanted some cute new pictures, and they are a camera happy bunch. We thought it was all working out wonderfully, but Gianna didn't always agree...

Grandpa and Uba also took some goofy pictures comparing Gianna to some of her dolls and stuffed animals.

Lastly, better late than never, happy 30th birthday Uncle Casey!
